The Silicon Valley Automotive Open Source meetup.com group
(http://www.meetup.com/Silicon-Valley-Automotive-Open-Source/) is
running a booth at the Exhibit Hall at Southern California Linux Expo
(https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale10x/) in Los Angeles from January
20-22. Please consider contributing product flyers or software
demos to the booth if you're so inclined. I'd be happy to have
GENIVI brochures, for example, or Tizen stickers, or Tieto CDs, or
Delphi job opening announcements, or an Intel poster, or a Nokia demo,
or whatever. A limited number of complimentary registrations are
available for booth staff. Also, please come hear my talk and see
my demo (https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale10x/presentations/automotive-next-frontier-mobile-linux)
if you will be at the meeting. Part of my demo at least will run
meego-ivi, especially if I find the 1.2.0.4 repo!

All of the 1.2.0 Update 4 packages are kept in the "Updates" repos. The version number is never used in the name. This allows your installed image to always find the latest updated packages because they are always kept in the same location. That is http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/updates/1.2.0/

So for example the kernel for the "Connext2" chipset was added during MeeGo 1.2. Update 4 and may be found at http://repo.meego.com/MeeGo/updates/1.2.0/repos/oss/source/kernel-adaptation-connext2-2.6.39.4-13.1.src.rpm

XFCE was also added during Update 4 to replace the "meego-ux-ivi" sample UI since components used by meego-ux-ivi were considered prototype and are no longer supported.

regards
Joel
